As Adrian says in the film, the job is not all about blue flashing lights and we would certainly not encourage people to call for an ambulance when they don’t need one.

You have to take an occupational health assessment before you start a university course, and different universities/trusts might have different requirements - but as far as I know there are no restrictions on eyesight provided your eyesight is good enough to be able to possess a C1 license for driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.

NHSCareers do all organizations require a degree? I am currently in grade 11, and I want to study paramedical sciences and then possibly travel to countries like the US and some middle eastern countries like Saudi Arabia and Dubai. I have been a field medic at my school's sports teams and always been fond of this type of work. I don't mind blood at all, I can be thrown with a bucket of it, as long as I'm busy helping a patient, I wont even flinch. Sadly the average salary in my country (south africa) is 14000$ a year. so I guess I will just get a few years experience here and then move to a better paying country to make a decent salary.
