Binged-watched doesn't necessarily mean you watched the "whole day" tho.

“I *spent* my whole day watching this show” would be correct. Past tense, right?

"That doesn't sound very American"

This sentence sounds so American.

“Less American” is the wrong term I think. It’s more related to age than country. Here in the UK we say the same thing.

I would love to learn English without necessarily sounding American😃

I'm American and I say "I spent my day watching TV"

Binge doesn’t mean “in a day, ” it means to excessively consume. You can binge food, drugs, alcohol, Netflix shows, etc

Why would I want to sound American? I think every culture has their own way and beauty of expressing things. One should not have to be American to speak English.

No. "Binge" means to watch the entire season in one sitting. "Watched all day" means from the moment you woke up to the moment you go to bed you were watching stuff.

Saying “I binged-watched this Netflix show” is still too formal. You’d say “i binged today. It’s on Netflix”

As an american, and a native english speaker, the first way of this is still completely accurate, and we'll probably respond with "same

Why would anyone want to sound American when they are not? 🤷‍♀️

It’s not less American, in fact I’m less likely to say “binge watch”, that’s kind of a thing only people in their 30s say

“dOeSn’T sOuNd aMeRiCaN”

Not only is the first sentence perfectly natural when said in the right context, it's very bold of you to assume I want to sound like a native speaker. As long as people understand me, I don't see any issue with them noticing English isn't my first language, and I don't think it's right to perpetuate the idea that ESL learners NEED to speak a certain way. Fluency is a never ending process and, if your ultimate goal is to sound like a native speaker, go ahead, but many people won't feel the need to "pass" as Americans when they really aren't
