As we know, there are many Canadian rock legend which are the influential names in history. Triumph must be the one, symbolizing the top-class hard rock as well as melodic rock outfits of the country. Admittedly, Triumph is one of the greatest bands in the world, which perfectly combined hard rock with aor and whose works are widely spread from continent to continent.

Also as we know, Triumph is one of the most famous three-piece bands on the rock music scene. One distinctive point of the band is the duo vocals shared by Rik Emmett and Gil Moore.

Since 1984, Triumpn was signed by MCA Records. Here the album "Surveillance" was like a turning point of the band. It was the last album that was released by MCA and it was also the last album that featured Rik Emmett until his return to the band in 2008. Morever, "Surveillance" can become one of the favourites in numerous loyal fans' hearts.

In Triumph's albums, Rik Emmett and Gil Moore shared respect songs on lead vocals and Mike Levine also played the duo roles on bass and keyboards. Three members are all the versatile roles as the performers, composers, lyricists and producers.

Here the song "All Over Again" features Gil Moore on lead vocals. Since Triumph was signed by MCA, they began to work with outside songwriters and producers. This song was written by Roger Freeland and Joe Pizzulo as the only track created by outside songwriters while the rest songs were written or co-written by Triumph members.

Two vocalists Rik Emmett and Gil Moore both have won great achievements in their careers, even in the years after Triumph was dissolved. They are the notable names on the music scene of Canada. In loyal fans' hearts, Triumph seemed never to break up and disappear from the public sight with longlasting fame from those active years until today. That is true, because all their albums were the epic releases, which have influenced Canadian rock n roll deeply for long time.

The album "Surveillance" was distributed in North America, Europe and Japan with no weak song. Like all the band's former albums, "Surveillance" is a perfect release, featuring great hard rock and aor works together. Undoubtedly, Triumph is a band, which attached great importance to melody representation and meaningful lyrics on most of their music themes. Rik Emmett decided to leave to pursue his solo careers after releasing of "Surveillance". With new guitarist Phil X joining the band, the remaining members made all their efforts on music and made the end well in 1992.Then let's make time fly to 2007 and 2008 to witness their significant moments of glory.

Triumph was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame in 2007 and into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2008. The year 2008 saw Rik Emmett's return. Triumph's classic line-up performed live for the first time since 1988 with two reunion concerts. In 2019, Triumph was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame.
