Actually, the first meme yet to be found was published by The Wisconsin Octopus magazine back in the 1919-1920. Also, the reason why the term “genetically” was mentioned in the definition is because, and as argued by Richard Dawkins (1976) in his book the Selfish Gene, memes and genes are similar in the ability to replicate, but different in other aspects. One last thing, Dawkins was the first one to create and use the term MEME.

When I was in primary school(elementary school for you americans), I heard of this thing called your mama jokes and I wanted to try one out.

So I got to school the next day, went up to one of my friends and said "your mom is fat" and then just didnt say the punchline. I didnt know we needed one so i just randomly told my friend that his mom was fat. I got lectured by the principal
