Well 1050 is not for casual gaming infact you can do serious gaming on it and it can play most AAA title on high settings

Hi Mathew. I own the i7 version of this laptop with 1050ti for almost a month now. I have not had any excessive heating issues although I use it for 4k video rendering. I nearly bought myself the Helios 300 17.3 inch predator but opted out of its mammoth size & weight, since I needed a portable performance machine to carry in my backpack for travel. I saved the difference in cost to upgrade the ram as well as SSD which is a bonus. Can't comment much on gaming yet. Definitely the new budget king for me.

Also, when you buy it and you get the 15.6 inch case (for the laptop) use the pc cover/case as a 15.6 inch mousepad.

I picked one up for 620 at best buy a few months ago. Its has a i5 gen 8 processor in it with a 1050 ti graphics card. its not bad other then after 4 months my HD crapped the bed. when I went to turn it on it said no boot drive was found. The only bad thing I have to say is that if the laptop breaks and is under warranty, it took forever for them to fix a simple thing like replace the HD and reinstall windows. I had to provide shipping box, and they would only pay for fedex ground shipping ( which were I live was 4 days just to ship.) Then it took 10 days to fix and another 4 to ship it back. performance wise, I run a lot of hard mode and nightmare mode 16 man raids in SWTOR, and with high settings on I had no issues. very little to no lag. For the money I would recommend it to the casual gamer on a budget.

hi matthew, can you do a video about laptops which is the best for video editing? most fast laptops out there have bad screens. maybe the best at around 1000-1200 dollars

Also keep in mind that the pc turbos while plugged in helping to increase fps while playing games.
