Finally, a white keyboard. Absolutely HATE the red-on-black keyboard on my 2019 Nitro. You can't see anything without the backlight turned on. AND a discrete indication for the Caps Lock/Num Lock key instead of the stupid on-screen pop-up. Nice!

It's a gaming laptop, it's meant to be moved only when you have to. Most places have plugs anyway. And yes, while the speakers are a disappointment, you game with your headphones most of the time anyway and when you go back home, there's always PC speakers that you can plug into.

Acer is actually well balanced in both power and price for most of the needs, even she isn't premium built as same as ASUS when particularly it comes to gaming. I vote this Acer baby is worth your money, also you needed power for gaming.

I bought the one with the 1660ti. The one issue I had was the cooling and heat. It was touching 95 degrees. But when I undervolted the cpu it never passes 75 degrees even under high stress. Great laptop.

I saw an acer nitro 5 with i7, 8gb, 512gb and RTX 3060 and with the better 165hz screen for $1119 in a “local?” shop/website. The original price was $1219. They have a discount until the end of the year. It seemed like a huge steal. I’m buying it soon.

After working on a mac for about 8 years, the switch back to PC with this laptop was such a welcomed change! Definitely missed the versatility that PC brings and not to mention the lack of ‘lag’ when gaming 😄

Made the purchase a few weeks ago and can definitely say that despite the relatively poor battery life, this laptop is still totally worth it for its price ❤️

Well I mean, if you're a guy like me; I'm a very casual gamer at 33 with 2 kids. A lot of the games I play are older MMO titles (I'm just not into the newer AAA battle royale games). Most MMOs aren't very graphically demanding due to the fact that they want the game accessible to a larger audience. If you just play World of Warcraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Final Fantasy 14, even Elder Scrolls Online, any Acer Nitro 5 model is perfect.
