Swing Review: 001
Larry wanted to help with transitioning steep and coming down over the top which has been costing him distance. In this real golfer swing review, we give him a couple ways to clean all that up by cleaning up his takeaway and early backswing.

This is me 100% with the lack of forearm rotation and the late arm lift (breakdown of left arm, overbend of right elbow). I just figured this out a couple days ago and laughed when I started watching this. Great video!

They would hate Couples' backswing - it's even steeper than that!  Honestly, it's not a perfect swing, but it ain't really that bad, is it? His left wrist is flat at the top, which is good.  He stays behind the ball before impact and a decent follow through.  He's an older dude - you can only do so much, and only what your body will allow!

Great video. Can you make a video on the right wrist? If your backswing and your right wrist is in extension at 90 degrees to your forearm. On the down swing, or at impact does the right wrist remain at 90 degrees at impact? At 45 degrees at impact or back to 0 degrees? I’m having a lot of inconsistency hitting behind the ball, even I shift weight to the left or aim in front of the ball. My wrist unhinge early and end up hitting behind the ball. When is the “correct” time to unhinge the right wrist? Or it never unhinge, it’s just a body pivot and wrist remain at 90 degrees at impact? Thank you for your video and your time

How about something on post impact motion and follow through?

Hey Mike, you said something interesting about late setters needing to be on plane. Does that mean early setters are more likely to get away without being on plane? I'm just wondering what you meant? Thanks

Guy can't get the hands deep enough behind him at the top because he doesn't have any left side bend and thoracic extension in his backswing. He just rotates his front bend, lifts the arms and that's his backswing. After taking out some of the sidebend at address he then needs to feel a left side crunch while the mid spine extends somewhat. That is what will keep the head centred. His shoulder plane is way too level because he has no left sidebend.

What is the main contributor to the hand path working down the first few feet of the downswing?

Did this guy have 3 phones filming or did he hire Speilberg🤔. I got lost in watching his motions and not listening/watching Shaun’s fixes. Did not care for this format. His elbow did stay on plane going back, right?

He’s swinging away with his arms and not his body. No connection in his upper body and he hasn’t a chance for any consistency. No forearm rotation will fix this, he’s shut simply because he swings his arms. The arms do nothing but follow the body in the golf swing folks, first rule of golf. This video commentary is a million miles off target, wow they are so far off. Look how far his right arm drifts from his torso, you can’t time that move away back to the ball. Sorry guys, this kind of stuff is why most amateur players never improve. The guy in the video needs to disregard any of the fixes these two have given. Stay connected and turn around the spine with your arms following your body! It’s not that hard
