Wesley's (James McAvoy) life is over — his pathetic, old one, anyway. Fortunately, it is all because of a girl. Enter sizzling-hot Fox (Angelina Jolie), who crashes into his life and introduces him to the Fraternity, a secret society of assassins, led by the enigmatic Sloan (Morgan Freeman). It seems Wes' long-lost father was killed while working for the Fraternity ... and Wes has been selected to target the rogue member who murdered him. But before he can complete his assignment, Wes must first uncover the dark secrets behind the Fraternity in order to determine his own destiny.

Love the movie! I've seen it 2 or 3 times. It's both mind-blowing and patently absurd. Realistically over the top. And, yes. I am being contradictory and paradoxical. Gotta love it.

One of the best comic-book adaptations and most amazing action thrillers ever.

I remember being young, impressionable, and liking things that were idiotic...and I still thought this movie was beyond stupid.

I didn't know that was Chris Pratt in the scene where James McAvoy's character busts him across the jaw with that keyboard. I saw this film for the first time in 2009 and I think someone told me there was a comic book also by the same name. And then James does voice overs for Neil Gaiman's Sandman The Endless as the character Morpheus ( -whose domain is the world of Dreams ). And Dream is often depicted visually ( in the graphic novels) as having eyes full of stars -the cosmos - astrological constellations . So James is the actual Starlord. Okay b4 ppl get upset, I know the handle of S.L is Peter Quills in Guardians of the Galaxy. He chose it for himself. I also know these are comic books also. But every person that exists, dreams and dreams are not bound by time or space ...they can change bcz of Delirium or be influenced by the twins Desire and Despair of the Endless - or be ended by Death. So in this film we have Starlord ( I liked the films of Guardians of the Galaxy -especially when Rockett starts messing with Taserface ), and we have the Lord of Dreams and the Lord of Dreams can enter anyone's mind - ( kinda like Charles Xavier of the X-Men ) but bcz the Endless aren't not human, they are embodied concepts and states of existence - they can influence all of humanity all of the time. And I understand liking something so much as being inspired to create a piece of art ( imitation is the finest form of flattery ), however when that person tries to pass that off as an original concept and design of the first publication of those graphic novels, then call it out. Delerium should never be depicted as the sister/brother ( another of the Endless ) and the people that love Neil's work understand why that is. So when a sexy version of Delirium is presented, be prepared to meet Destruction of the Endless - ( her other brother ). And after that you'll wish you had met her older sister ( another Endless - hey dee dee ), bcz Death could end it, if she wanted to - but maybe she converses with an even older sibling ( Destiny of the Endless ) and they hand you back to their younger sibling Dream...which rules over the world / realm of the dreaming and he can cause you to have endless waking nightmares. So, in a way I'm glad I haven't heard or listened to the audiobooks yet....because then if I heard a voice that (in my mind at least) that I identified as Charles Xavier of the latter films, bcz when I hear Sir. Patrick Stewart's voice, I automatically think of Captain Jean-luc Picard ( Star Trek realm) ...and hey they are still travelling amongst the stars in the cosmos. Ppl like to tell me that I remind them of a certain Endless, but I identify most with Delirium and anyone who has read the graphic novels knows how she can mess up a humans mind - if she so chooses. And Destruction gave her a doggie too.
