IT ENDS WITH US, the first Colleen Hoover novel adapted for the big screen, tells the compelling story of Lily Bloom (Blake Lively), a woman who overcomes a traumatic childhood to embark on a new life in Boston and chase a lifelong dream of opening her own business. A chance meeting with charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni) sparks an intense connection, but as the two fall deeply in love, Lily begins to see sides of Ryle that remind her of her parents’ relationship. When Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar), suddenly reenters her life, her relationship with Ryle is upended, and Lily realizes she must learn to rely on her own strength to make an impossible choice for her future.

Directed by Justin Baldoni and produced by Alex Saks, Jamey Heath, and Christy Hall. The film stars Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, Amy Morton and Brandon Sklenar, from a screenplay by Christy Hall, based on the book by Colleen Hoover.

"Fifteen seconds. That’s all it takes to completely change everything about a person. Fifteen seconds that we’ll never get back." This line always hits hard🥺🥺

this looks way better than I was expecting. the flower shop is exactly what I envisioned. still not sold on the guy playing Atlas, but that's okay!

This is the exact reason I left my daughter's father at 8 months pregnant. I refused to have her grow up thinking it was ok or acceptable for a man to treat a woman in any way less than I want her to be treated. I will always love him, but my daughter and her best interest will always be my #1 priority.

PSA: if he hits you once, it’ll happen again. Leave. Don’t look back. You can find someone better, someone who actually loves you and treats you with respect.

The best words of this book is when Atlas says- "In the future... if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position of fall in love again, fall in love with me. You're still my favourite person Lily". Best words ever

This book met so much to me as a survivor. The way I can relate to Lily in so many ways made the books so special. I may not have an Atlas. But I did have a Ryle and I will always be proud of myself for getting out of that situation and demanding better for myself.

To all the women watching this who’ve been abused by their partners and had the courage to leave I see you, I am you. To everyone else the ones who are still holding on the ones who supported us those who hold space for us I see you too, I see all of you.

I left, it’s been 3 years. When I made space, I met the love of my life and only now at the age of 31 do I know what a man should be. I’m just about a published author because his male energy has further enhanced my female energy and has opened up my creativity beyond. Thank you me, thank you universe thanks to my love thanks to all of you 💚

very interesting since justin baldon NOT ONLY directed it, but apparently put himself in as the villain - in real life he is SUCH a gentleman, worships his wife.

I haven't thought about it in years but my first grown up adult relationship when i was 21 years old was with a man who would blow up on me and physically threaten me, and i would leave. He would beg and plead for forgiveness and swear to never do it again. I'd come back 2 weeks later and within a month he would do it again. Back and forth for a year. The day he pulled his gun out and held me down i swore that if i got out of that house alive I'd never see him again. And i kept that promise. I didn't go back to gather my things. I got away with a small bag of stuff and my life. I moved to another city for 6 months and then another state. He found me on social media a couple years ago and acted like nothing ever happened.

“We break the pattern or the pattern breaks us.” Powerful words and very perceptive of the impact and brevity of domestic and emotional abuse on one’s life.
