Korte inhoud: Wanneer Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf) en Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan) allebei een mysterieus telefoontje krijgen van een onbekende vrouw, komen ze door dit toeval met elkaar in aanraking. De vrouw bedreigt hen en hun familie met de dood en brengt Jerry en Rachel in verschillende levensgevaarlijke omstandigheden. Hierbij gebruikt ze de hedendaagse technologie om elke stap die ze doen te controleren. Uiteindelijk escaleert de situatie en worden deze twee gewone mensen de meest gezochte voortvluchtigen. In een race tegen de klok proberen ze er samen achter te komen wat er werkelijk gaande is en waarom hen dit overkomt.

this movie when came out 15 years ago the critics said it was
ridiculous and unrealistic, but now it looks so real

I feel like this movie didn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s to this day one of my top 3 movies centered around Ai. Truly shows how dangerous Ai could be in the future.

Remember when action movies had depth and symbolism ? And when politics weren't restrained simply to genders and whatever ? This movie is a monument to those times.

I saw this movie last night for the first time and I must say it was a nail biter from the first time it came on till the time that it ended. I definitely recommend for action junkies

Well done, puts a realistic, modern day twist on the movie concepts of Nick of Time, Matrix, and IRobot. Bonus that (from what I remember) it is family friendly. Little to no cursing, not gory, no sex. Just heart thumping action from beginning to end.
