“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

The New Testament has so many references to the books of these prophets that to overlook them is to miss so much of the context of the New Testament lessons we’re learning

Outstanding! I could not agree more. As I recently have gone back through them using Jon Courson Application Commentaries God showed us so many things and all were relevant to today. God is amazing and HIS WORD abides forever!!🙏🙏🙏 3:48

Hawayu Ligonier Ministries *& I Appreciate Pst. Derek Thomas 4 Answering This Powerful, Blessful, Deep Question on "Why Should Christians Study The Minor Prophets ?"4 What Pst. Derek Thomas Has Said Is Ryt One 💯% Where Christians Should Study The Minor Prophets Like Amos, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Joel & Haggai Who Speak of The Coming of Jesus Christ Where We Should Not Only Study The Minor Prophets But The Whole Bible Where The Minor Prophets Talk About Redemption Just Like Jonah Who Was a Minor Prophet Whom God Sent 2 Nineveh Where He Refused 2 Go Until He Was Caught By a Ship of Pirates & Then Thrown In2 The Sea Where He Was Swallowed By a Big Fish 4 The Minor Prophets Teach Us About Redemption Where God Commands His Love Towards Us That While We Were Yet Still Sinners, Christ Died 4 Us Written In Romans 5:8* & May Our Great Almighty God Bless Yu Pst. Derek Thomas & Ligonier Ministries So Much.🙏🙏🕊️🕊️🕊️

Is the Amos commentary cited the one by J. Alec Motyer? I've looked and that seems the closest i can find.

I have a question if you’re able;
What is the experience like when you are converted to Christ(when you get converted how do you know it’s a true conversion)?
Should a Christian usually have a conversion story?
I’ve heard it said that a true convert was ultimately always converted by the sovereign choosing of God so that there is no such thing as “going from not-saved to saved”. Do you agree with this saying?

Another salvation question I just thought of if y’all can;
Could I/we get a detailed answer on what the difference is between a backslider and an apostate?
Note- in this scenario, both the backslider and the apostate are unbelievers.

*How about ''the prophet Jeremy''?*

@Derek Thomas, Jonah was not swallowed by a whale. Scripture states it was a big fish! Let's be faithful to scripture and not to our own connotations.

There is no such thing as minor or major prophets. That’s is just religious dogma. Wether God uses a prophet to do one thing or ten things they did the will of God and there is no class.
