Sensah Groupset Hierarchy VS Shimano

Sensah is one of the largest Chinese road bike groupsets in the world and it's not hard to see why. it's cheap, uhh yeah that's about it honestly. But in today's video, we’ll be going through their groupset hierarchy and comparing their prices and weights To Shimano.

The most recent versions of the Sensah shifters have metal internals (in comparison with the plastic of earlier iterations) and they shift very smoothly and seem very durable. They've also changed the rubber used for the hoods to something much more robust and Shimano-like. Also the Sensah shifters are compatible with Shimano derailleurs...so they make for a great cheap replacement if you bust your Shimano ones as Shimano shifters are the priciest part of their groupsets. I have Sensah Quantum shifters paired with Tiagra mechs 2 x 10) ...they work great with both front and rear Tiagra mechs...if anything I prefer the SRAM style single lever shifting to Shimano now I've got used to it.

I've been using sensah empire for more than 1000km with various of road profile. Climbing...flat road...and still stand strong...really worth for money...end of the day...you choose...shimano sram sensah...

Anything that threatens to stop the big boys in the bike component industry from charging us disgustingly abusive prices is welcome. Hopefully they keep coming out with more products like this and keep getting better and better, at the moment my Sensah Reflex's work much better than the Shimano Claris that came on my bike. And the gears and "Sunshine" cassette work great too.

Personally I would recommend to use sensah levers and ltwoo branded derailleurs. The derailleurs from ltwoo are just better. Personally I run a 2x8 setup with reflex derailleurs and R5 shifters. It works perfect. Why do I still use 2x8 and not more gears? Well I love long distance rides (over 200-350km daily) and prefer the robustness of the 8 sprocket chain. I don't see the practical need for more than 16 gears.

Olá!!! Comprei cassete, câmbio traseiro e shifter do lado direito, tudo Sensah PHI e corrente Shimano CN 4601. Fiz um pedal de 40km e no retorno desse pedalada as marchas começaram a não indexar do cassete menor para o maior.Gostaria de saber se tem alguma regulagem fina a ser feita, já que é a primeira vez que o mecânico instala essa marca.

Where are you buying Shimano Claris and Sora groupsets for those prices?

Hey man, love your content. But would you consider changing from sora to empire an upgrade? Been contemplating on doing that since its cheap. But might as well stick with sora i think

You should do a review on Sensah SRX Pro.

I have both Campa and Shimano bikes since many years with some 10’ooo km still working good- maybe Sensah can do it too maybe not. 1000km as a test is not enough

Great video man. Yes I enjoyed and laughed. I have build a backup bike with some old (but in good shape with new rubber covers) DA7800 I swapped from my other road bike. I replaced with Ultegra 6700.
Seeing your videos. I think I might go for the Sensa / Sram Red shifters and swap that with the Ultegra 6700 and send the Ultegra 6700 to the backup bike. Or just go for the Sensa group set maybe the 2x10 and replace the DA 7800. The hidden or better said under - bar tape brake cables looks more modern, comparing with the DA 7800 with the cables crossing in front of the bike.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Friend! Can you tell me if sensah quantum 10 speed shifters are compatible with shimano GRX400 front and rear derailleurs? I know the tiagra 4700 duals are compatible with the GRX400. And sensah quantum is compatible with tiagra 4700 shifters.

Sensah Team Pro hasn't been mentioned. Sensah Empire is not inter compatible with Shimano 105/Ultegra. Team Pro is compatible. Shifters are bit more expensive than Empire

Hi I'm just curious if I can use sensah's 11-speed derailleurs on my tiagra 4700 levers. thanks

Nah... Just comparing weight is not accurate. Of course things get lighter when you use inferior materials. Cheap plastic is just lighter. I still would prefer Shimano because you get quality for your money. That's a fact
