it's not gonna be easy, but in time, If Sensah ups their marketing and brings the challenge to Shimano and Sram by offering similar quality products but at a fraction of a cost, I believe that Sensah will definitely be up there in terms of road bike groupsets.

Sensa made it possible to get back in the sport after 10 years. I am restoring my 2013 giant TCR advanced with a mix of Sensa and Sram. 😉

I'm considering a new gravel build, pairing Sensah SRX 1x11 with mechanical Avid BB7 brakes. Nervous about Chinese mainland brakes. Hard to justify well over $1, 000 on Shimano GRX (even if it could be found in stock).

Is the sensah version 2 alloy derailuers or steel? Also did they change it for version 3?

I agree about the patents. How could a small company who comes up with some inventions compete? They have 50 vicious lawyers and I spend my own money to experiment on ideas.

Or alternatively Sensah can just focus & refine their mechanical GS making it cheaper and cater to the masses. End of the day no everyone can afford or want electronic shifting on a bicycle. Cables and derailers work fine IMO :)

It's an unfair price comparison until Sensah brings out a hydro brake groupset. Also, Shimano's and Sram's patents are already beibg worked around by companies like Archer or Cellcycling.

I thought patent only last 20 years. Lets face it groupsets aren't rocket science. Any Chinese companies could just come along and copy 2002 Shimano technologies, with good quality parts and good QA controls, they can make a fortune.

Patent wars are such dick moves. I agree IP should be protected, but I also feel any engineer with half a brain can make a wireless derailleur, without copying existing products. Meanwhile, cyclists suffer.

Mechanical shifting works great. Batteries and electric motors do not belong on a bicycle.

well ofc when you can just copy and do minimal R&D
