All Windows Startup and Shutdown Sounds
Показать описание
A lot of work was put into getting everything right and putting more builds in. If I got something wrong, please let me know. READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING!!!
***I got Memphis builds 1602-1619 wrong. The sounds in this build should be the Windows 98 RTM startup sound and the later beta 2.1 and beta 3 shutdown sound. This will be corrected in the next video
***The January 1994 bootscreen for Chicago is fake. Many .ISOs online have been modified to have the January 1994 time stamp on the boot screen. When unmodified, it should still say January 1993.
***The final beta release boot screen of Windows 95 was left out.
***I left out some boot screens (Windows 3.1 build 26 and 43e. Windows NT build 297, Windows 3.1 for Pen Computing. Windows 98 build 1593.)
***I used the wrong boot screen for Longhorn builds 3683-4008 which use a copyright date of 1985-2003. I put the Windows XP Professional RTM boot screen instead.
*Windows did not have any sounds before 3.1.
*Windows NT 5.0 EUR is fake.
*Windows NT 5.0 does not use that Windows 2000 beta 3 builds 1946-1969 startup as a shutdown.
*Microsoft Longhorn sounds aren't official and are believed to actually come from a Windows XP Custom Theme
*Windows Server 2003 UK sound is fake.
*Odyssey bootscreens are fake. Any video that has Odyssey is incorrect. While Neptune and Odyssey were being planned out at the same time, they only released one Alpha build of Neptune and Microsoft never released a single build of Odyssey so no one knows for sure what sounds it would have. I would assume it would have Windows 2000 sounds but I wouldn't put up an unleaked OS on these videos.
*Windows 8 and 10 have the Windows 7 startup sound. The reason why you don’t hear it is because it is disabled by default. You can enable it in the “sounds” window where you change the sounds. It is a box that you need to check that says something like “Play Windows Startup Sound”. You also need to have fast startup disabled for the startup sound to play. To disable it, go to power options in the control panel, on the left on the window, click "Choose what the power buttons do", click "change settings that are currently unavailable", and you should be able to uncheck "fast startup", click save changes, and then restart.
*Windows Codename Millennium used Windows 98 sounds. No, I’m not wrong. I know this.
*Some of the Vista builds used the Vista logoff sound as a shutdown sound. One build used the logon sound as a startup sound while others used XP sounds or mixed between XP and Vista sounds.
*The earliest builds of Whistler had a Windows 2000 boot screen.
*Whistler build 2481 was the first build to introduce Windows XP sounds but still kept Windows 2000 sounds as default.
Try out the operating systems yourself like I did and you should get the same results as me.
I did not make most of these images.
I do not own the audio in this video.
