Windows 2000 Beta 3 Startup and Shutdown Sounds

Build 2000's sound was only used in this build. No other OSes or betas used this sound.

Correction: First sounds were used in builds 1946-1969. Second sounds were used in builds 1983.1-2000.3. RTM starts at build 2020. Build 2031 used the RTM sounds, not the first sounds. I wrote a note in the polls so everyone would notice.

I prefer the build 2000 startup over the official one. Wonder why they scrapped it, and why they scrapped it fairly quickly.

I like the windows 2000 beta 3 startup and shutdown more than the final one.I don't know why Microsoft didn't use the beta 3 ones.

Build 1999: Windows is upset when you Shutdown. (Sounds like someone shut the door towards you.)
Build 2000: Windows is sad when you Shutdown.

That startup at 0:08 is gorgeous - PLUS for me, it doesn't have that weird lil "bark" that can be softly heard after the first part of the jingle

Did you know that the startup sound of Build 1946 is just Windows NT 5.0 startup sound but without the loud part and at a different pitch? It is just a bit faster and has the Windows 98 startup sound at the end at a different pitch, too.

I always thought this Build 1946's startup sound was first used in Windows NT 5.0 as its shutdown sound until recently. The shutdown sound in it reminds me of thunderstorms.
