Anytype - Better than Notion + Obsidian Combined

not trying to be a hater, but videos like this are so bland and kinda worthless. the use of third party footage and/or only showing the default "getting started" notes tells me right away that someone is just trying to pump out content and doesn't really use what they are talking about in any depth, while making grandiose clickbait titles.

the reality is that anytype has a lot of potential, I love the foundations and philosophy, but in terms of UX/ease-of-use it's got a long way to go yet.

I've just discovered Anytype. Can you tell me if there is a web clipper to capture web pages on Anyway? Is it possible to view the sub-folder tree of a collection at a glance, without having to enter the page each time? Thank's in advance

If it's "private" and "secure" why am I supposed to create an account and allow the app to listen on so many ports?
I was digging the internet to find out but no one really did mention it or explained it briefly...
peer-to-peer? then why not using actual p2p protocols anyway?, All I see is traffic going to/from their server and a localhost connection...

Also, someone might say "Why caring about security??" bro all of my files are stored in my documents folder (like a lot of popele)...and that's a big no...

After searching for a long time for something that was open source and in a file format that made it simple to move to another app if needed, I settled on Obsidian and still love it as much as when I discovered it about two years ago. Anytype doesn't fulfill the second criteria, which means it's out right away. Also block based. No, thanks.

Obsidian & Notion is very overhyped. I stopped using obsidian as got frustrated by so many plugin installation for each and everything. Difficult to sync in apple ecosystem and lots of manual efforts needed.

Infact obsidian is the best app for personal learning. You just don't have any idea what you are talking. It has dynamic connections which makes things much easier to understand together.
