The picture of George signing away Lucasfilm always breaks my heart. He looks so sad giving up everything he had worked for his entire life.

They would have criticised him again, but it would have been mainly over execution and details. There would not have been violations of core ideas of the lore.

The whole "keeping the EU alive and separate" is reason enough for me to wish this was the case. His sequels might have been iffy (no way to tell), but they would close out his story once and for all.

I tell myself that selling to Disney was Lucas' Sidious level revenge against the vocal fans who hated the Prequels.

Still would have seen plenty of people complaining about the direction of Star Wars. Lucas wasn't perfect but the guy told a great story through six movies. Fandom at times is it's own worst enemy imo

I feel bad, I saw the prequels when I was a kid and they got me into Star Wars. I saw the OT and the films made sense. I wanted Anakin to stay a Jedi, I could understand his troubles and why he needed control and power; Vader made sense as a figure. The sequels don’t exactly fit- they are more fan fiction. Like I said, I feel bad because Disney failed and are just recently understanding Star Wars.

I think I’d be a lot happier overall. Would’ve preferred to see his sequel trilogy (it would be the true one)

Lucas may have kept the EU around even if he wasn’t that involved with all of it, it would have been nice to see some of those stories continued if he hadn’t sold it.

What if Padme joins Anakin in Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith when he turns to the darkside? It would be interesting to how things would turn out if they were to make things the way the wanted to be like Anakin said on Mustafar, also how would Palpatine react to this? as well as how does the empire become different from the one we know in the OT? It would be an interesting topic to dive into and explore i think.
