I think this is what made the original trilogy work so well too despite it being one writer’s vision & why George ended up Directing the prequel trilogy himself as it’s still a huge commitment to ask one Director to dedicate years of their life Directing someone else’s planned vision and I assume maybe he could not assemble 3 different directors to direct each instalment for some reason or he really wanted to play with the new effects toys at time which is more likely I reckon

Lucas never did the third trilogy. Its far from complete he intended to do 9. Luke's journey in the last one was supposed to be very interesting.

so many scenes which could have stayed in the movies because people like action but also want to see more of these worlds and of course enjoy what is going on how learners progress and deal with situations .

He made the prequels for his kids. Also for the video games and toys. Which is why the original canvas painting that was left unfinished was filled in with cartoon characters like Ashoka Tano and Jar Jar Binks.
