Well, you put forward some good arguments to support your slightly dramatic title! Something which might make an interesting not very long video would be one demonstrating the cut reframe feature (shared of course with earlier versions) including a shot of two people at a table having a discussion maybe about the camera, edited with cut reframing so that you see the two of them, then just one, then the other, but meanwhile the discussion flows but it looks like it was shot with three cameras. And other uses for that technique.

At 6:42 when your son jumped into the pool was the X4 in the dive case? This is exactly the kind of shot I'd like to capture on an upcoming vacation but I'm unsure whether the dive case will be essential for a few pool shots transitioning from above the water to below it.

Rob you should mention how amazing the Dolby Vision looks on the X4. The video is amazing when rendered in HDR and viewed on HDR capable display or TV.

Thank you for this amazing video. I have a question if you have time to answer. Soon my wife and I will go to our honey moon trip to Tenerife, and since I am not vlogger of any sort, I dont know how and what to film, but I want to have some videos(memories) where I, or my wife, will film some amazing scenery, people, towns, nature, sea, etc. I am on the fence for the last months whether I should buy insta360 x4 or dji osmo action 4. What do you think it will be better for our trip? Based on this video, I think X4 would be better.
Also, I ride motorcycle, and I want to film some of my trips., or some underwater fishing since I also spearfish. Thank you once again

I have the X2 and love it on my motorcycle. I am planning to upgrade to this model and use the X2 as a b roll. I have Pocket 3 also. It is a very nice camera but less durable.

If you Film so much on your vacation, How does the Battery perform?

I love mine, but the darn thing overheated underwater while shooting 8K. I missed two sea turtles that swam right underneath me because I thought it was still filming. I would’ve designed a dive case that allowed water intrusion into a cooling jacket at the base of the camera to prevent that from happening. Other than that, the footage that I did was literally astonishing.

Great video as usual, I'm loving my X4 the more I use it. There's a lot of things you can do IF you're know what you're doing ;) I'll typically shoot with the X4 and Ace Pro and you can't beat this combo to get every angle. I do wish that Insta360 will bring Shot Labs into the desktop studio though, I prefer to do most of my stuff on either my PC or laptop tbh.
