Great little explanation on how you increased APM.

The secret to this game is switching between tasks fast. If you give every building/unit a hotkey and keep switching between them fast. You'll always automatically remind yourself to perform the actions paired to the buildings.

In other words, use hotkeys, continuously keep hitting them. And your game should automatically improve.

It's Hot Virtual Keyboard. It's just a program that captures your keystrokes, and when you stream you screen capture it and put it on the stream. There's a link in the description of where to find it, and how to set it up.

spamming and making boxes gets ur mentality into the game. when u actually need to start using apm, ur hands are already warmed up. by spamming it helps u get faster in the mid game because ur hands are already used to it.

The point of the video is to get your hands to be able to spam at 400apm. Once you can effectively do that without straining your hands, or overworking them, you can then apply that apm to useful actions. That is the whole point of this.

Also, spamming boxes is not useless. Flicking your wrist in that motion is unnatural, and you have to train your hands to do that. It's not the boxes that are important, it's the motion. If you can spam quickly, you can then do other things quickly.

Anyone can spam keys at 400 APM but that does not make you a good player. Its all about the effective APM. Also spamming boxes is also useless, unless you can do it precisely.

I have similar practice but it still becomes useless when the game gets later when proper actions take place and it still drops significantly, especially when your´e not sure what to to in some parts of the game.

I have a feeling like I am locked on that effective 70 apm frontier and have nothing to do above that. I can´t understand some Plat to Master level friends who have 150-250 apm... :/

Anyone can and will improve by doing this, nevertheless. It will just eventually make your effective APM faster, even without you noticing it at first.
