Angelo's Mom Makes Kataifi - Greek Walnut Dessert

You can follow along with my mom and make changes to the recipe as it's made in different ways and toppings. I've had this many times at Greek festivals and it's very good, though I couldn't have any this time since I still have to get my cholesterol down (it was up at my last doctor's visit). And I don't recommend going to Greek festivals since the music is horrifying.

I also talk about my broken pinky, which is recovering. I got a cold right before filming this, which I felt came from eating mushrooms from the salad bar of a grocery store at 11 PM. And I spend part of the video trying to kill a flying insect.

For those asking where to get Greek ingredients, my mom goes to Aphrodite Greek Imports in a dump of a part of Falls Church, VA, on a dump of a part of Route 7. But you can probably find many of the same items in Arab markets, especially filo dough (sometimes spelled phyllo).

Angelo, i listened to you talking about high cholesterol . Check out Tristen on The Primal edge health, he used to be Vegan fell sick and now raised his cholesterol to 450 and feels great !

You have to bring your mom to Greektown in Baltimore. We have the stores and the best Greek restaurants. Our favorite is Samos for Gyros and Zorbas for Lamb chops.
