Facts-this is why keto is hard... I suggest Low carb diet.- you'll still be in ketosis but a lower level and weight loss is still active

Excess protein will turn into glucose in the body in a process called gluconeogenesis, which in turn can put you out of ketosis because of the spike of insulin in the body (caused by elevated blood sugars).

If you're measuring your carb intake and find yourself close to the maximum limit to maintain ketosis and consume too much protein on top of that it will end up kicking you out of ketosis.

I've been doing keto a little bit differently this time around, taking into account things like Thomas is saying here. I'm planning to do 3 months on and a couple of weeks off for holidays etc. I'm also venturing into lazy keto or IIFYM on occasion as long as I've had virtually none or little amount of carbs for the day (So I won't worry about eating a little bit of chili with beans or even a potato chip or two in passing). Seems to be working as I've lost almost 30 lbs in 2 months.

Been keto for 7 years and I’m always afraid to eat carbs .. EVERYTIME I do my face breaks out and I literally get sick ( colds/ flu)

Thomas can you make a printable worksheet of these mistakes. Also how do you know how much fat, protein to have on keto. It’s very confusing yo know how much is yo much on keto and IF.

It's hard to know what bottles on the grocery shelf are actually pure olive oil. Does the avocado oil industry have that problem, too?

Even tho I don't do Keto, I notice a lot of people on it making most of these mistakes such thinking they can eat as much butter, cheese, fatty meat in addition to other fats with no consequence just because they don't eat carbs...

What happened to the theory that eating fats with carbs was the mechanism (controlled by Insulin) that allowed or directed excess calories and or fats to be stored in the body...and fats on their own did not spike insulin and therefore fats were not stored if eaten on their own? So many experts refer to Insulin as the fat storage hormone? Are all of those now wrong?
