Second Vizio tv in 3 months to do this. None of my HDMI ports seem to be working. Also these fixes did not work. I’ll just not buy Vizio going forward.

Boy do I feel stupid. My tv and cable box weren't plugged in. And on top of that I had no batteries in my remote. I was trying to use my RCA remote for my vizio tv. Ha ha stupid me. Thank God for this excellent video. It saved me from going out and buying a new tv. I was in my car driving to Radio Shack to buy a new tv when I thought that maybe I should google my problem first. I'm so glad I came across this video. Also it turns out that Radio Shack doesn't exist anymore. So who knows how long I would of been driving looking for a Radio Shack.

But what happens if you dont have the tv option on your television. We have the cable selected but there is no option to select to go to tv under input

Check that the cable is plugged in!?!? I never thought of that!!! And changing the input to the corresponding device isn't fixing a problem.. that's just how to correctly set it up!

keeps switching to SmartCast before tuner has a chance to tune in channel, don't seem to be able to disable Smartcast. Just one annoyance after another with this TV - No more Vizio for me.

Thank you for this instructional video. I had first assumed my “no signal” issue was a connection issue or just one that required a hard boot. I’m not sure I would have thought to check the input selections, which is what the issue turned out to be.

Vizio tv's are garbage.
Bought a v505 for $400 and out of the box the video and audio were out of sync.
The tv is now 6 months old and the audio keeps going out. You have to reboot the TV to get the audio back.
Changing between apps, the tv shuts down and won't turn back on. You have to unplug and plug back in to turn on the TV.
Called tech support and was told they don't have parts for a 6 month old TV. They will ship a USED TV in exchange for the original tv. But first you have to submit your credit card info so they can put a $400 hold (original tv price) on my credit card.
If they receive your original tv damaged, your credit card will be charged. So basically spending $800 for a used tv.
It will be your responsibility to recoup your money from the shipping company.

That didn't help me one bit. I have dish network, fire stick, Blu-ray, and I know they're all hooked up correctly. Today the TV is booting up very slow and it's saying there's no signal to anything.

I can’t get a DVD player to connect directly or through an hdmi adapter. My super old Samsung tv can hook it right up with those same cords. I’ve tried two different DVD players and nothing will work. I tried to use the same hdmi port my Roku is usually plugged into and nothing. It’s definitely the Vizio tv that’s the problem. Those ports just don’t work. Now I’m attempting to put a DVD in my laptop and connect it to my Roku just so I can watch a DVD on my tv. Hope Vizio hasn’t found a way to block that.

I don't have cable/satellite hooked up. Just want to use the coax for old video game consoles...but it won't display anything other than "no channels in master list" Please help

I had the same problem and one thing she failed to say is Reset To Factory Settings which I did and the problem solved.

I have my Vizio plugged into HDMI-1 but when getting the "No Signal" error, HDMI-1 is not an option under the "Input" options. It will work under the "Tuner" option (even though it is plugged into HDMI-1 port). If I plug it into HDMI-2, the HDMI-1 option reappears but no HDMI-2 option. Same if I plug into HDMI-3! WTF VIZIO
