12 in game rests is the amount youre given, if you do all beacons and activate the gigantus the mist will no longer move, however, if you used your rests youll run out of chances to rest and to save.
Time does not pass by just being active, the passive passage of time is frozen, however, if you dont exhaust your rests you can save manually all you want, i spent around 15+ hours just farming endgame materials for upgrades and never had the mist even move, if i had to heal i either used an allheal elixir or died and used a wakestone.
I only rested when my main pawn was low on max health (less than 30%) and for the additional pawns I just dissmiss and summon more.
In my time on the unmoored world I rested only 8 times, but manually saved hundreds of times, i had time to level from 46 to 67, get 4 vocations to max (all mix vocations), and to finish farming most of the wyrmcrystals i was missing, the only reason I finished and went into ng+ is because I collected every exclusive unmoored world chest item (That I knew of), I used 7 allheal elixirs and 10 wakestones.
My recomendation is do all evacuations and before resting at all and then enjoy :D

fun fact, if you defeated talos fast enough earlier in the story, he will take down both the eel monster AND the dragon near the volcanic island

A couple things. The clouds don't actually move in at all, the only thing that's timed is clearing the red beam bosses before the towns get destroyed and there's a 10 days limit for resting. After 10 days the game won't let you use an inn or a bed anymore. But the game doesn't end when you get there, you basically have infinite time on the last day you just can't rest to get health back. Also, if you choose to kill Disa first the ox cart guy just says ok sure no problem, Sven gets mad at you but it doesn't change anything. Before you actually finish I recommend exploring around the shoreline roads, you can get a crap load of ferrystones very easily for ng+.

I didn't bring Disa to Sven. Instead I brought him the Orante box you helped him get for her, then he found a note inside of it from Disa and in there she explained she did everything to keep Sven safe and they are happy and leave together.

Just an fyi for anyone doing this. You don’t have to crawl all the way to the dragons heart, you can be on his back still and use godsbane. Just need to be far enough forward (about where the heart would be)

Save all of your all heal elixirs for this time. Only healing item to fill your health back up, so you don't have to sleep.

I didn’t do any of the elves quest on my first playthrough but you can still evacuate them. If you go up to the leader he will say something along the lines of not leaving and staying in the arbor. But if you keep talking to him after like the 5th time he will cave in and decide to evacuate. You just have to annoy him a bit. 😂

FYI, people are just now getting to explore this world and it’s actually endgame progression, not just a fluff ending. There’s dedicated bosses all over the waterbeds that drop unique items higher tier than the dragon forged sells. DO NOT rush this area! Go explore and it’s like a whole new world to do.

I’m trying to find the full warrior set and so far only found a chest piece that is excellent for resistances.

Bruh, when you had no idea what to do once you climbed towards the dragons chest when you first started riding him. I legit climbed on his stomach, and I’m like “that’s interesting, we’re both glowing”, I didn’t know what to do. And then in the end credits, you talk to the ghost guy, and he’ll restart the fight, I fought the dragon three times. Each time I was looking for something different, now I’m on new game +. 😂

This is actually one of my favorite finds in video games for me to think i was done with dragons dogma 2 basically and was about to go onto ng+ but the guy at tht end asked me if i wanted to do anything different and i replayed the ending like 4 times and landed here instead of ng+ pretty awesome suprise theres more than just reset and power fantasy through.

You can also save the pawns by hiring them and leading them to the rift stone.

I can finally watch this video after taking the plunge to progress the story. I was having fun making sure to do every quest i found, taking escort trips with my buddies that I'm doing this at lvl 67. It's nice too because since I've buddied up with everyone my quest have been "you should evacuate" with the leaders "ok I trust you".

Though I'm still seriously debating on killing Phaesus for pulling his stunt and consider his arrogance a danger to the people.

As for disa, if you bought Sven the ornate box a way back when you first got to vernworth, said box will be in disas room, loot it and deliver it to Sven who will then walk to his mother and talk some sense into her
