Free After Effects Beginners Course: Learn to Animate

My most popular After Effects course for beginners is now free! To celebrate its tenth anniversary, I've updated, re-recorded, and expanded The Beginner's Guide to Animating Custom GIFs and am giving it away here on YouTube. This class is designed to be your first motion design project in After Effects, and together we'll be creating the same animation. I've also included 2 extra pieces of artwork that you can choose to animate using the exact same techniques I teach in the class. Or, if you're up for it, you can design and animate your own artwork. We'll learn how to get assets into After Effects, set up a composition, animate layers using keyframes, precompose layers, apply effects, create seamless loops, and export animated GIFs and compressed MP4 videos to share online. Hi Jake, an exporting question for you — how do you export a video file (e.g. MP4) whilst maintaining the RGB colour values? So a clients brand colours are correct. Thanks.
