Ok, I’ve watched several secrets of HL videos now, and NONE OF YOU mention the Daily Prophet! In Hogsmead, in the main square in front of Honeydukes, there is an unmarked location that is a newspaper vender. If you check the papers, the stories change as you progress through the game, giving you little stories happening around the wizarding world based on bits of Potter lore. Most notable is the multi-issue story covering a case of cross-species breeding between a dragon and a chicken. This is a reference to book 5 when Mr Weasly took Harry to the ministry for his hearing and someone in the elevator had a fire breathing chicken that had been confiscated.

In the werewolf room, the tapestries depict a family being terrorized by a werewolf, but if you use lumos in front of each one, the tapestry will change to show that it’s the mother that is the werewolf.

So far my favourite was a side quest with Sacharissa Tugwood, a Hufflepuff student who asks us to fetch some Bubotuber's pus from Forbidden Forest as she is planning on using it in cosmetic potions. What's interesting is that Sacharissa is already established character in HP lore. For example, in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002, PC) there is a collectible Silver Famous Witches and Wizards Card of her that says:
"Sacharissa Tugwood (1874-1966) Pioneer of Beautifying Potions. Discovered the pimple-curing properties of Bubotuber Pus"

My favorite mini cutscene is in the hospital wing a student takes a sheep to the nurse thinking it’s his friend George that became an animagus but botched the spell. But in actuality he never turned into a sheep and they all leave with the sheep just vibing with them.

Speaking of hagrid, you can find a gravestone with a hippogriff at his hut that supposed to be a memorial for his actor from the film

The suite of armour easter egg isn't random, one of them keeps humming and the other one keeps getting progressively more annoyed until it attacks him.

I like Sebastian and Ominis’ banter a lot. Maybe not an Easter Egg but you’ll hear Sebastian wondering if you can Accio a person and Ominis will scoff at him and say you can only Accio them by their clothing. And if you walk by Sebastian while riding a Graphorn, he’ll ask you what happened to your broom. If you take off all your clothes and walk by him he’ll either respond with “I’m not sure what I did to deserve that” or “Are you wearing pyjamas?”

Not sure if someone’s mentioned it but I’m pretty sure that’s not hagrid’s hut in #7 where the beasts class is. There’s ANOTHER hut up the hill and it’s empty. There’s tools inside where you get a guide page that alludes to it being Hagrid’s future home.
and there’s a grave marker next to it with a hippogriff, apparently that’s a nod to the actor who passed

I love the random NPCs getting Howlers from their parents because of trouble they got into, I live for the random NPC drama in this game lmaooo also the graveyard behind Hogsmead has a few beheaded ghosts playing catch with each others' heads, it's so weird and funny I love it

Wanted to point out that in the bathrooms, when you flush some of the toilets they are broken and spray water. You can use the reparo spell and fix the toilets. FYI. Haven’t seen anyone talk about that yet. Great vid! Thanks Falcon!

This level of detail and care by the creators is exactly what you could hope for when giving love to an existing world and it’s lore. Absolutely awesome and thank you to them for all of this!

When you do the Salazar Slytherin study mission, you find a note where he explains his plan of putting the basilisc in the chamber

There is also a painting right outside the hospital wing I was staring at for a LONG time last night waiting for the professors to get out of the way during the Alohomora task that looks exactly like the original Dumbledore actor, Richard Harris. It was too perfect to be a coincidence. He's not dressed as Dumbledore, but it is his face. Looks like a loving tribute.

There's a treasure map which leads you to a series of bells. You have to hit them in the right order to reveal the treasure chest. When the bells play the song back to you - it's Hedwig's Theme from the movies.

For #14, the painting that turns you to stone DOES have a story behind it, which is explained in the field guide page in front of it. Or even just from looking at the painting itself. Their version of Medusa is in the painting, with a man purposefully avoiding her gaze. When you interact with the painting, it’s as if it’s proof that you’re looking at her and turns you to stone. The man in the painting is also becomes a stone statue after this occurs permanently.

One of my favorite details is in Hogsmeade. In the hair salon on the counter is a small mirror that when you look at it, it shows the back of your head. I thought it was mind blowing that they had such a small detail included which makes this world even more immersive.

My favorite is the Absconder's bio card. It mentions how she's presumably the first acromantula brought to the Forbidden Forest, and "may have left eggs somewhere" The miniboss is basically Arogog's grandma or something.

Actually, there is a reason for No. 5 the suits of armor: It's a progression of events, so to speak. One of them is always humming, and the other is reprimanding it for 'not taking the job seriously'. These get a bit more violent each time until the suit of armor that does the reprimanding looses its cool and snaps, punching the humming one to pieces. Which, after a small pause, continues to hum, painfully, while in pieces on the floor.
