what he says at 1:57 is not necessarily true. you will reach a point where you will stop accelerating and keep a constant speed because the resistance (wind, gravity, engine) will begin to match your acceleration. So to continue accelerating you actually have to push down on the gas pedal more and more the faster you go. Also sometimes hard acceleration and hard braking is from improper foot placement. Experiment with foot placement if you continue having issues. And please please please if your instructor or supervisor is telling you to speed up more and MORE! ..just hit the gas harder and HARDER!. It's better to have speed if you need it, then need it and not have it.

My question is: does releasing the acc pedal slows down the car’s speed? Or if u’re at a certain speed and for example you want to decelerate like 10-20 mph from that speed then do you have to release the acc pedal a lil bit in automatic transmission?

i was going to my grand parents house and i went to my moms car but there was mud so i didnt want my mom to put mud on her shoes so i told her let me accelerate the car so she told me how to do it then i didnt work so when i worked i told myself it was death or life so braked
