In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, I will show you how to make a cake in an air fryer. Air Fryer cakes are really easy to make and tend to bake a bit faster than the ones done in the oven. I am using a store-bought cake mix this time, but you can use any of the cake recipes I have shown here on my channel. Using an air fryer to bake a cake is super easy to do if I can do it, you can do it, let's get started!

This is the first thing I tried in my air fryer, it turned out well. But I forgot what temp and time so thanks. A tip before for decorating use the bottom since it is smooth and flat—good advice for any cake.

First time hearing about cake strip. My cakes always have liquid bottoms especially in the center. I have to keep putting back in to cook longer and then the top gets burnt. So this is really cool if it helps even out the baking. Thanks!

I have a 4 inch Heat shaped Springform Pan. How long would it take to bake a cake in it using an Air Fryer? Also, when would I find one of those cake strips? I've never seen or heard of them before.

Hi Matt nice cake. I just made one using a box mix and it turned out badly. What did I I do wrong? I have a Brentwood 3. 7 quart and I cooked it at 320 for 20 min. Too doughy. Kept adding 5 min. After about 20 more min it looked a little burned on top but still doughy. Put foil on top. Kept adding time. Finally after about an hour it looked a little more done, but still a little fudgy. Tasted ok but never got done evenly. I wondered if I have to rotate the cake for even cooking. One side seemed to cook more than the other. I don’t have a wrap like you do but is there something else I could use instead? Btw it was a gluten free cake mix, but I followed the instructions on the box. Help.
