Infact it's unfortunate and sad indeed that many people don't respect security officers in UK meanwhile no job is superior to other jobs moreover security are passing through training and Licensing which I believe should be in a professional category!!!

If you work in security, I will recommend the book "Verbal Judo: The Gentle Art of Persuasion" by George R Thompson. This book can literally save your life. Even describing it as gold is a severe understatement.

It is a good license for immigrants and international students to get jobs that UK citizens don't want. You get to work in the cold and you also get to be disrespected by customers and supervisors on a daily basis. The pay is not amazing, but it pays the bills, especially if you come from a poor country. Try not to get stuck in this kind of job, you and your children deserve better. It will suck your soul

1 you stand on your feet for 12 hours per day
2 go on the occasional stupid security patrol thinking and acting like the police officers
3 if you work in an office block you check out peoples identification cards
That’s all a security guard does nothing more nothing less
