Leibniz is a thousand times more interesting than Kant - full of jewelled thought and no drear schemata on offer. Pity Jewish legislators did not pursue this path. I believe that Aristotle is foundational to Jewish exoteric thought with R. Judah using his taxonomical bias to organise the construction of Mishnah. Taxonomy and Aedificatory method make Aristotle something of an ‘airless’ dude. It strikes me as unfortunate in the extreme that in escaping the ghetto in the 18th century where the categorial philosophy of Aristotle must have reigned supreme for centuries over secular considerations - Jewish thinkers tumbled into the yet more constricted thought process of Kant - from bind to tourniquet! Kant appears to me ‘self-willed morality’ on the one hand; and replete on the other with the epistemological error of considering conceptions as innate and generative of perception (genus before species) rather than formed from the combination of perception with experience forming second order conceptions. Such an error will force perforce relegate as nugatory Experience and elevate in its place Notion. Notional schemata characterise the whole sorry train of ‘intellectual’ demons running down from the man himself through Hegel and Marx to the ‘concepto-plasma’ of Derrida and on to the atrocious catsup-ideologies currently embraced by US academia. A good holding position for extrication from this direst of mental pickles would be a return to an academia subtended in mind and spirit by biblical philology and Platonic-Socratic speculative reason. Kantian myopia is the killer of the West!

Israel is an ethno-centric country. Meaning the quality of life of its Jewish residents is its primary goal. Being a country for, and of Jews, is the ONLY legitimacy that the government of Israel has. From the point of view, Jews are being ruled by Jews and therefore the primary issue that jews had in the past (living under foreign/non jewish rule) was solved through the creation of Israel. Because of this, the government isn't fundamentally opposed to the prosperity of its citizenry in the way that the US government is. Israel's government was established by the Jews who immigrated to that land and created it. While "palestinians" and other local Arabs hate the Israeli state/government, it never the less exists to actually SERVE its founding population, rather than abuse and replace them, as is the case with the american government.
