I don’t consider this lifestyle boring, it’s structured and the type of life i wish for someday. I want a family and job i love

Yes! Boring = no chaos, no drama, no illness, no financial worries, and you have total control of your time. Has worked for me ever since my divorce in 2014.

I remember going to a physical checkup at the doctor and when he asked how my life going I straight up said, "Nothing, I have a pretty boring life." He then replied that is actually good because the more boring my life, the healthier I am. This is true haha, ever since I decided to get healthy people call my life "boring" and "dull" because I don't do drugs, smoke, or even eat pizza. Only thing I do is social drinking.

So never be ashamed or feel justified that your life is "boring, " chances are you have a much better life than other people and will be in a better state physically and mentally years from now or maybe even tomorrow. Take pride in your routines as they allow you to walk an extra few steps in life.

I am now in my late 60s, and as a retired person I really enjoy myself with my routine.
Go for a walk in woodland with my partner and dog; then play my guitars and synths, and then cook some good food, and at night look at the moon or planets through my telescope whenever possible.
This could be boring to some people, but I love it.

I almost found it odd how validating I found this video. But it all made total sense. When you live a “boring” life, you really do create time. You become aware of what goes in your body (food, thoughts, information) and what comes out. Excellent video!

As many of my older friends and family told me, "boring is best"

Ditto to everything you said. "Boring" is highly underrated. People craving drama and excitement all the time was not the norm half a century ago and before. It is a relatively new phenomenon spurred by social media and modern culture, which is at war with anything deemed traditional. Looked at from a different lens, 'boring' can be synonymous with stability, contentment, and harmony. Boring is good!!

over 20 years ago I heard someone say something that stuck with me my whole life.
"I'm a creature of habit, and boring is ok."
It's amazing how I went from 'that's dumb' to ' that's awesome' over the course of my life.

While I was getting my Alexander Technique certification we talked often about slowing down and one of my favorite concepts was "learning to wait". Just being able to sit there and wait for something; your appointment at the doctor, the server to bring your check, whatever it may be. Being able to wait patiently, without becoming irritated or distracted, even being pleasant, had become one of my favorite skills

As an adult now I appreciate so much how hard my parents worked for me to have a boring childhood. My partner, who had a much more *interesting* childhood found it very attractive how much stability and peace I was able to bring into his life. I hope our future children will have a boring childhood too.

I lived enough life for two lifetimes. Somehow I came out alive, clean, wise(ish) and now in love and married. Nothing beats simple routines, good books, healthy meals and early bed/wake times. Enjoyed hearing your experiences and relating them to mine. It’s nice to be lucky, it’s better to be happy. 👊

Man, you bring tears to my eyes.
I know just how horrible it feels to realize you just snapped at people who are at no fault.
Even worse when it's people you love.
But I can't begin to imagine how it must feel to snap in the presence of your children.
A prayer for you and good luck.

As Jordan Peterson said... walk the line between order and chaos. Have one foot placed in order, stability, structure and patterns.... call it the "boring." And have the other foot placed in chaos, the unknown, the challenging, the struggle. One foot in order makes chaos bearable, and one foot in chaos makes order less mundane.

Another excellent video, sir. Over the last year or so, you've changed up the channel a bit. You've opened up and shared with us more of your personal life, both the good and the bad. I have really appreciated it. As men, we're often reluctant to talk about personal issues and shortcomings. It's unhealthy. I think your openness and honesty are taking you in a very good direction, and you inspire more of us to do the same.

Your channel popped up in my feed for some reason. Glad it did :) I am a single mom. I divorced my husband when our daughters were 18 mos & 3 years old due to his alcoholism. The final straw was when he got 2 DUI’s within 7 months. Daughters are now 16 & 17 years old. I spent all of the their growing up years with them. I did not date. Very routine life. I work, they have school, then it was their after school activities, go to church on Sunday, meals at home, etc.. people tell me that My life is “ boring “ & that I need to get out n have some fun”. I LOVE my routine life. I don’t want to “ go out” . I would rather “ go out” to watch my kids in their chosen sports & activities’. A very Routine stable, NO drama life!! It was nice to hear this video ! I’m not the only one that LOVES the simpler, no drama life!!

Amen. I have been "boring" all my life. I live a simple life. I work, take care of my family, do community service, and partake in some finer things regarding men's style. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or hang in the streets. Aside from some gray in my beard, I look pretty good at 47. A bulk of my stress stems from my supervisor position at work where drama naturally comes my way. But spring is on the way, so then I can get outdoors to plant my flowers and get my lawn together for summer. Last year, I brought my rose bush back to life. So satisfying. So, here's to boredom!

This is a beautiful and peaceful life of stability, normalcy and structure.

I have lived a chaotic life, where nothing had order, nothing was planned and it's all "interesting" everyday. It was not what many would consider fun or enjoyable after 5 days.

Simple, peaceful and predictable is where it's at. And we sprinkle in random fun along the way.

You are a great great soul❤. You have some idea but you do not know the extent of the life-changing impact you have on your audience. God bless you, and your amazing family! I am a 61 yr old retired dentist with 4 grown children, and I am speaking from experience. Thank you for your incredibly hard work ethic and extra efforts!
