One of the biggest lessons I learned is that you have to have a simple life, especially as guy. The hustle culture and routines started to weight on me after a while. There’s a feeling of pressure you get to do these things in the fear that you won’t be good enough but the most important asset that we have is the relationships that we build and living a life that makes us feel happy, fulfilled, and purposeful.

But the only way to not be avarage is to be couragious enough to be a beginner, then to be avarage for long time until you start becoming become great. Money isn't what makes up wealth, caring about money too much makes you EXTREMELY avarage.

I feel like we're on parallel paths, Cole. I have started living life with a far less extravagant perspective and I'm already seeing changes. Just about every time I go on a walk in the city now I talk to someone I likely would have ignored before. It's incredible what happens when you treat all other people as just that, people. Not as idols, not as rats, but as people. Everyone has their story, and the most courageous story to tell is that of the average man.

This is a great mentality to have. I always say that fun is relative. You get used to whatever you do so it loses its appeal overtime. You have as much fun living a “boring” life as you do living the “fun” life

I met this young man that’s currently in college earlier today at a graduation party. He was older than me and seemed to come off more confident in his conversation than I was. I then noticed that all my ego of looking down and neglecting others that I saw as less successful disappeared and being honest I felt the most awkward I’ve ever felt. This video helps with giving me an understandable perspective on what occurred with that older man.

Hey great video Cole. I work as a tax accountant and strive to be the best I can at that but I often beat myself up for not being more handy around the house or good at tinkering and fixing things like a broken dishwasher, car, or lawn mower. I wish I was good at that stuff but if I'm honest with myself, I'm not interested in taking the time to get better at those things and might be better off just paying a professional to do those things for me. That will allow me more time to continue to improve my professional skills. "Focus on what you want to be great at. Delegate the rest."

It does make sense to me! Take the Walter White story for instance. He was already a chemistry genious and already left a mark in the world by being a physics noble prize. But because of greediness, he lost everything, even himself.
