My Resignation Letter .......... Warning! I get emotional

If I was ever going to be the best version of myself and expand my reach on YouTube, it was going to involve stepping away from the classroom. I am now focusing 100% on producing videos for my channel to better serve you throughout the year. I hope you enjoy this video that goes through a little time history of my channel and my final goodbye from my high school. Not sure you’ll ever get to this comment but here it goes. I’m 33, lost my job over covid and went straight back into school. I had to take a college algebra course last semester. The last math class I’d ever have to take. Historically math is my most difficult subject. My entire public school career I spent dreading and failing math. I used your YouTube videos watching probably 2 hours a day and ended up with an 86.53% in the course. I’ve never met you but I have and enormous respect for what you do. I could not have done it without you. Your impact on me personally is greater than any instructor or professor I’ve ever had. I cannot thank you enough. 🙏🏼

Mr McLogan... I feel fortunate to have found your videos, and the excellent way in which you present and explain the material. I recently returned to college at the age of 47 for a career change, having not taken any form of formal education in 25 years. While in high school i did very well in math ( i got as far as precalculus), i was embarrassed when i took my placement test, and found i only scored high enough to go into elementary algebra. While i recognized and could identify what certain types of problems were (rational expressions or simplifying roots with numerous variables to different powers), i just couldn't remember the process on how to solve them. Your straightforward to the point videos helped me tremendously through my algebra classes (Elementary and Intermediate) and i am cruising through College Algebra with a 94%. I plan to continue on for either precalculus or statistics. Thank you so much for the work and effort you put in, not just for your high school students, but for ALL of us students out there. P L E A S E do not remove any of your videos, as they are a great teaching tool for us. I have even reccomended your page to others in my classes and they have told me how they have benefitted as well. Again, Thank you and the best of luck to you.

I remember I would be on the verge of tears trying to complete my math hw, but your videos would always save me. You made my nights slightly less stressful as I struggled to finish an assignment i had procrastinated on. This past June I graduated valedictorian of my class and some of that is thanks to you.

He started YouTube when I started school as a kindergartner. I didn’t need his videos until high school, so I’ve always been really grateful for that timeline. By the time I needed him, he had 8 years of educational stuff that I happily took advantage of. It’s sad that he’s retiring, but I’m glad he didn’t retire a minute sooner.
