Quantum Wavefunction in 60 Seconds #shorts

In quantum mechanics, a particle is described by its wavefunction, which assigns a complex number to each point in space. The square of the wavefunction tells us the probability of where we'll find the particle when we go to make a measurement.

Why tf did I watch this all the way through like I knew what was happening

All I know about Quantum Mechanics is that I ain't learning Quantum Mechanics from 60 second YouTube shorts

Omg I took ONE calculus class a couple months ago and all of this made sense.

Great point showing psi as a function that maps x space to a complex plane.

You're real good at explaining quantum patterns for people who already know the stuff (from academia). Its good for reviewing and recalling before a test (I imagine). Its somewhat nice to see as a CSC just to compare and contrast the vocabulary you're using and the dense vocabulary like "normalizing." I found it funny.

I get that this is simplified but let me make a few corrections/specifications nonetheless :
Firstly, the full Psi function takes into account the three dimensions of space (so it should take x, y, z) plus time (t). Of course, you can neglect y and z in some study cases, and you can neglect the influence of time in others.
Secondly, the graph showed was the graph of the squared absolute value of Psi of x, and not Psi of x given that the latter is a complex function and requires to be graphed in the complex plane.

I think it’s important to note that the wave function in this video psi(x) is only for hypothetical 1-dimensional space. For real 3-d space you’d have to use psi(x, y, z) - assuming Cartesian coordinates and no time dependence.

This actually helped so much for my upcoming physics quantum final

this is the only clear explanation of the math I’ve ever heard in such a short clip. Awesome visuals, great narration

It would be great if you would make a longer and detailed video about Wavefunction

The explanation of formulas like this is what I need for every formula jaja

That was so beautiful . In India students in 11th are taught very little opening of quantum mechanics in chemistry and physics so we get curious but are refused to learn more by school or iitjee syllabus

Nothing better than someone who understands something so well that they can put it simply

Yeah i had watched many videos in youtube and i spent more time to know these concepts eventhough it is not clear.after i watched your video it was really helpful ..please do continue your work..

I once read in a textbook about physical Chemistry that the Wavefunktion itself has no direct physical meaning is that correct or is this just something Chemists are told cause we dont get Physics ? 😂

Ohh thank you very much I finally I start understanding this ❤
