It's not religious infighting, it's a war between the Yemen population and US/Gulf States imposing a government.
That's why you hear the US talk of a government in exile, because the Yemen population rose up and kicked out repressive government.
Yemen is poor due to Western aggression, sanctions, food and medicine blockade.
