I’d consider it provided they had an after sales maintenance infrastructure set up for unexpected bruises. The power seat switch on our tesla broke off, and knowing that they would come to our place to fix it, was a huge plus, and we have two Tesla stores in my area.

Yes indeed, I’ve been waiting for the EV car price to drop to $30, 000.00 or less USD. I thing this coming year we will start to see real competition in the EV Car Industry.

Gentlemen we are talking about cars not kitchen appliances. On paper, fantastic.... now how does it drive. Finally, directly transferring the Chinese price to USD is a no go. The aim of a company is to price the car to the market and competition, as well as maximising profit. They will make it probably cheaper than the competition but not 27 K USD. AND it has to answer the local requirements for safety...etc. It will be very interesting in the coming years.... as that Chinese curse states.

Yeah, I'd take the high spec one if it comes to the U.S. with tariffs, transport cost, taxes, etc. I'd suspect America about 65 to 70k. Still a good deal if as advertised.

Sam, when you quote the range please could you say which measurement system you are using, e.g NEDC or WLTP or whatever?
Also, the would never be that affordable in sure it would be way above AU$40K

doesnt seem possible to profit at those prices and unfortunately too big for me and most of UK, however spec / $ is amazing - they just need a way to get those prices 'Landed' in foreign markets
Be nice to have a scaled down version, 3 sized at 15% less :)

The price seems fair, but due to the theory of " If it is too good to be true, it probably is", more research is needed. Thank you for posting, Sam. We will need to keep an eye on this quantum Leap in electric vehicles.
