Crypton Super Pack is a FLOP! (Vocaloid Rant)

I had to keep pushing this video back due to some previous videos that took a while to produce, but here's my thoughts on the Crypton Super Pack for their voicebanks of: Miku Hatsune, Rin Kagamine, Len Kagamine, Luka Megurine, KAITO and MEIKO!

sick of meiko and luka's more mature voices be slowly "miku-ified" into something more cutesey. If I wanted to use a miku-like voice, I'd use miku!!!

I’m so disappointed in Luka and Meiko you all have no idea. I thought because of the Meiko and Kaito concert, Crypton actually gave somewhat of a crap about them but nope, you massacred my girls. And I’m one of the few people that actually likes Luka V4, (I’ve never used her, but it’s rare I actually hear her sound bad).

I will say though I love the Miku voicebank. NT can sound good but SP just sounds smoother if that makes sense

Yeah yeah I think PJSekai uses the SP voicebanks actually!! And I think Rin’s voicebank is actually using her V4 power recordings instead of her V2. The V4 tone is veryyy distinct!!

one thing you miss here is the v3 banks are the v2 banks just re-configurated
just like luka v4x is just luka v3 rush ported to v4
and is sad because her v3 configuration was divine and even with a shitty qualitty demo from a cellphone recording, you can see how better she was from v4x
also these banks are the nt banks ported to v4, they are the same samples and recordings used to make the nt banks
is...just sad

As a Meiko fan, I'm so disappointed by sp. V1 and V3 sound perfect. Sure, V1 is a bit limited, but can sound really realistic if you know what you know what to do and V3 can also be realistic but incredibly powerful (case and point, and Meiko justice cover by Adam Edmund).

I swear if crypton keep this crap up when they release miku v6 and miku nt 2.0 I I am calling it will be in my op inevitable that other voice banks from other companies are going to catch up especially gumi and Teto

The way people are trying to defend these voicebanks too... like its so obvious that Crypton just took all their NT voices (excluding Miku) and packaged them up into this terrible cash grab. The only voice out of all of them I like is Rin because she isn't 22 GB of storage like her V4x counterpart. If all the superpack voices were sold separately, I genuinely think that Rin and Len SP would be worth it if they were marked down or something. But no, instead we got unfinished leftovers from Project Sekai lol. Again, this is what we lost Project Diva for :/

Honestly what is crypton even doing, from nt to this, they really don’t seem to put any effort into vocaloid anymore

It is honestly kinda frustrating since Crypton is gonna stick with the current SP's tone meaning that moving forward, they are gonna sound like that deliberately. It's not about Crypton being incompetent but rather, they want them to sound like this! =( So in the future, let's not get our hopes up and just expect less since V6 is gonna keep that tone in particular (choppy, nasal and buggy). In the end, Crypton intentionally makes them sound like that. Oh I forgot to mention but the samples they use in SP isn't entirely recycled from NT as allegedly stated but rather, they've done a lot of editings and tweakings to the raw recording samples (old recordings ofc) to get that metallic, weird, and choppy sounds. This is because how could Miku came out fine and not the others?


Okay enough about that but from what I have been listening (and my bad ears), the voicebanks they use in Sekai are a mixture of all with the SP/NT being prominent. Early days of sekai showcase us a lot of V4/V3 vbs' usages (with xsy in between covers such as Luka in Color of Drops) and currently, since they achieved what they want them to sound like, they are sticking with SP in general. I hope I am making sense and correct me if I am wrong.

Hopefully Crypton should just sell the rights to Internet CO so they can be saved and turned this Piapro Super Pack flop into the Synthesizer V Ai edition of Piapro Super Pack without remastering the voicebanks, just asking the voice providers to re-record like they did to Gumi and Una
