Insurance is one of the biggest scams of modern society. The concept of course is sound but the fact that these companies can pick and choose when they want to honor their contractual commitment is outrageous.

This was very straightforward and as a former insurance agent, this is 100% correct. The insurance follows the property that is insured. Even if his car had been STOLEN and wrecked another car, the insurance company would be liable.

This was a hard case. The defendant was also a victim. He did hit the plaintiffs car. But, someone else caused the accident to happen.

I hope the defendant Did sue his insurance company and Liberty Mutual paid out on the insurance claims. Typical disgraceful tactics from an insurance company.
