Need to mention the “washing my pits” gnome near the barn, my favorite npc in the game.

Thanks a lot for this video. This is exactly the sort of thing I needed after arriving in Act III and feeling the FOMO and anxiety of decisional overload. I really appreciate your approach to the game and desire to create content that makes BG3 more fun for most people.

The vendor that advances Shadowheart's quest is named Ferg Drogher not Mattis, Mattis is the tiefling kid. Other than that everything seems spot on.

I disagree. Carm’s Garms is 100% necessary to understand the gripping sibling rivalry that’s thrust Baldur’s Gate into a tailoring bloodbath.

i didn't get the chance to savor act 3 to the fullest during my "authentic best outcome" playthrough. this actually gives me more inspiration for my durge playthrough. thank you so much! loving the videos

Seriously, your videos are incredible. I've been playing 2 campaigns (solo and with friend) and your guides have made so many parts of the game more enjoyable. You keep a nice organizational flow without losing sight of the main focus of the game: having fun and role playing. Thanks so much for helping me get awesome items and create awesome builds without always thinking of min/maxing.

one thing that was most stressful for me in act 3 was the trigger for losing a companion (temporarily) in the lower city. what sucks is that you’re supposed to have this happen about 3-4 long rests into the city, but if you enter the sewers early (from the flaming fist prison from where you get the Vanra quest, or the emperor’s hideout) it triggers it when you may not even be ready to know where to even start trying to get them back.

One thing that can help if you're feeling overwhelmed is understand that you don't have to do everything. I usually just focus on the quests for the characters in my active party. I'll skip a lot of quests for party members I've left in camp the entire game. I can do their quests in another run. The game has a lot of replayability, especially when you leave stuff for later.

Good spoiler free guide. I’ve seen a few of your videos. I always appreciate how you also say it’s an rpg and you need to enjoy yourselves with your own choices but still explain things well. With that said, I’ll subscribe.

Also, head west of Rivington down the beach for some early Stone Lord stuff. Good for some future companion lore

Very good guide. To add to it, Kind of some spoilers here so: The only time gated activities in act 3 are the newspaper quest which you have to complete before you take your next long rest and rescuing counselor Florick which you have something like five in game days to do and if it’s getting close to the end the game explicitly makes it clear you need to save her ASAP. Besides that everything else can be done in any order and you won’t miss anything more spoilers…

Orin will potentially kidnap a party member and imply you need to hurry up before she kills them but that’s just idle talk and she will not kill them until you get there and rescue them so you can take your time.

Jaheiras quest probably should be done earlier as well because it leads to another companion and both of them should be in your party most of act three because there is so much content you mess with them not being there.

Also a note, the free the artist quest gets very annoying for reasons. And with the devil’s fee in the events that leads to you might want to start it early because it has a healing fountain that gives you the full effects of a long rest you can use infinitely but don’t finish the quest because it has a very difficult section at the end Which is probably the best part of the whole game

Love the map. thanks for sharing. My first run through the game I was absolutely overwhelmed. Almost forgot it was a turn based game and I wasn't on a timer. lol. Now, I run back through a few times, I spent alot of play time just walking with the camera at eye level sight seeing. lol. need a mod with hawaii shirts crocs and cameras lol. They really did a great job designing the city. Graphics wise.

Nice job, I think you hit the nail on head in regards to how the acts are driven. Funnily enough, most reviews that don’t “like” act 3 as much as the other acts, don’t realize that act 3 is the most open world/ role play act of the 3, which I totally appreciate. Just like you said, you are steared through act 1/2, act 3 says: here you are, figure it out!

Great advice for Act 3. Some good direction without spoilers is a tough video, but i think you nailed it. Its helping me so far. Got to the Ketheric fight on Balanced mode and decided to quit and started a new Honour run. So my first time in Act 3 is an Honour mode run. All my companions have kickass top tier builds from videos like yours. So i feel pretty comfident i can explore the city for the first time during an Honour run. Im aware of some of the instant death stuff, dont give your soul when you have sexy time with a certain character, it will end your run while your companions are still alive. Ansur is supposed to be tough as nails, but im gonna get him.
