I'm surprised Pokemon Emerald didn't make this list. To me, it's a classic, and will always be the most memorable and overall best pokemon game

Pokémon X was my first Pokémon game, had no idea what was going on in the story or how moves and stats really worked, I was a little kid. Still aced through the game and had a lot of fun memories with it, the art style was also very unique, almost dystopian feeling but that’s just me.

Y is better than X because the plot makes more sense. In Y, Lysandre wants to pretty much do a Thanos snap to Kalos, which is a pretty serious threat. It makes for a good villain. In X, he wants to give everyone eternal life, which makes no sense for a villain to do. Like why even stop him, cause that seems more like a good thing than a bad thing. Plus Yveltal is a much cooler box legendary.

Shocking how Y & X are the highest rated Pokémon games because accordingly to the Pokémon Community X&Y and the worst games. But X&Y are not only my favorite Pokémon but in my opinion my favorite games of all time

X&Y were truly the best. They did virtually everything perfectly.

The PC system was streamlined and a LOT easier and faster to use, with “Organize Boxes” being the top option and being super quick.

They added a legitimate way to EV train with super training.

The PSS was an AMAZING online hub.

All they had to do, in my opinion, to make it even better, was just increase the battle speeds a little more, and I think people would end up battling on Wi-Fi instead of Pokémon showdown, barring team building. But yeah, the game was amazing. Hands down best mainline Pokémon game I’ve played.

Honestly I loved playing Pokémon sun and moon years ago it was one of my favorite Pokémon games and I recently rebought a copy of Pokémon moon and I’m getting nostalgic memories

I love how mature people are now about Sun and Moon. Back then I was only like 16, but I never understood why that and USUM got so much hate. Other than the tutorial, the game had a great story, great region lore, amazing new Pokémon, unique characters, debatably the best professor ever and I just liked the whole Island vibe it gave and how it really did feel the same, but different from other mainline games as a 1 time thing with the island challenges and all
