How To Hydrate (Drinking Water But Still Dehydrated?)

In a world of endless water bottles, vending machines, food marts on every corner, somehow we've managed to maintain a state of dehydration.
In fact, 75% of Americans live (or I should say exist) in a state of perpetual dehydration.
And for many this is not because they aren’t drinking 8 glasses of water.
If we grab a bag of chips, white bread, crackers, candy bar, not only are these foods dehydrating because they're inflammatory, but also because they're nearly 100% devoid of water.
Our body still has to create all the saliva and gastric juices to digest and metabolize these food substances.
Hydration Rx:
Start each day with a tall glass of water.
Add sea salt to your foods.
Make a point of adding electrolytes to your water if you are outside in the heat.
Sip on water throughout the day.
Pass on the beer and the energy drinks, even pass on the extra cup of coffee.
Check on your kids, just because they are in the pool doesn’t mean they are hydrating, they are likely losing a lot more fluids than you or they realize.
Let's not be the average dehydrated American, let's take charge of this simple area of our health.
