There should be salt left at the bottom of the jar, this is an indication that the water is fully saturated with the salt. If the salt is completely dissolved, this means not enough salt was used, add more salt.

Plastic lids so the salt doesnt rust the metal and 3nd up in your water. Also, wait 24 hrs after mixing for maximum saturation and salt settles at bottom.

I've been adding 1/2 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt to a 1/2 gallon of water and drinking it throughout the day. I know that it hydrates better because I urinate less than when I drink just plain, filtered water.

I would still take a descent amount of supplemental magnesium and potassium, trace amounts are not enough to replenish electrolytes.

This tonic hydrates way better than any sport or electrolyte drink. It keeps the cramps away, too. I drink 32oz throughout the day during the Summer when I'm working.
Edit: I like mine with lime and a bit of sugar.

The lid should be plastic or glass not metal, two the salt should be course and not fine ....sole water making leave the Himalayan salt in filtered water Upto 24 hours check if all stones have dissolved if they have add more till you have the salt rocks still existing....use one table spoon for a glass of water .

I just made it, the water turns pink. I had this thought, is it maybe a colored regular salt and labelled as himalayan salt. The remaining salt at the bottom looks white 😶
