Your instructional video was very clearly presented and important that you added the word of caution not to overwind.

I always wondered how the crown guards on these things worked with the winding and what not, thanks for the demo, surprisingly interesting

Perfect just what I needed to know, thank you. My 176 is almost the exact same watch, appreciate the concise video.

Since last Friday iam a lucky panerai owner. I have the pam 560 with 8 days power reserve and that’s a lot to wound it up. I was also thinking about when it is fully charged but thanks for your video

I over wound my Pam 005 and broke the main spring. I now wind it 39 half turns which gets it just to full but doesn't stress the main spring.

Thanks for the video.  That backward pressure, does it feel like a rubber band with tension that will cause the crown to spin backwards if you release it?  That's what I feel as I wind mine.  I've just picked up my first manual (have experience only with autos) and thought that was stopping point for winding.

So kicking back/recoiling is normal. I just don’t understand why the new watch doesn’t have this issue. Mine is Pam 422. When it was new…

1. it would almost immediately start running after the first turn, now it starts after about 5 turns.

2. Kicking back/recoiling began after having wound pass through the 2nd day PR indicator. Now it starts after just 1 1/2 PR indicator.

Please answer, thank you.

Every manual wound watch should have. A power reserve indicator

Just got a 111; when setting the time, after pulling out the crown, do you push the crown back in first, then put the clasp back? Or does putting the clasp back automatically push the crown back in?

Very helpful, thank you for this video. I just received a Panerai Luminor Regatta/ flyback and was impressed with it's look and overall feel, however after I removed it from my wrist one evening and went to wear in the next morning, it stopped altogether at a time between 9pm and 6am? I was told that these watches were motion sensitive and works while wearing but freezes once removed? I find this a little disconcerting given how much they cost to begin with. Is this true of this maker/make perhaps? I just learned that I need to wind it every so often, perhaps this is also one reason why it may have stopped as I did not think it required a manual winding? Are you able to shed more light on the operation of this unit perhaps? Still stunned that it stopped after I removed it!! Thank you.
