I’m doing a ‘No buy year’ after taking inventory of a ridiculous amount of makeup, toiletries and clothes. I have items I may sell or simply donate to Charity. This includes deleting shopping Apps! Enjoyed your putting your house to bed comment- I so enjoy a tidy up before bed, getting clothes steamed and bag packed for early work start. I have recently started Rebounding and love the energy it gives me in the morning. It’s a year of self love, saying no and improving mental health as I navigate awful perimenopause symptoms and burnout from putting others first.

My husband and I have been living minimally for the past three years. We are continuously decluttering. Each year, we try our best to stick to certain goals not only to save and replenish our savings (due to moving and purchasing a new home), but we also want to have more money to dedicate to trips and any bills that may arise with our older cars, house upkeep, etc. We used to spend so much on materialistic items that did not bring us joy in the long run and only caused financial burden. Our journey so far has led us to really appreciate what we already have and narrow down items to what we really love and use often. Thank you for your channel and resources! Your channel is a great support tool for us.

I like mugs but honestly my daughter gifted me an insulated wine tumbler that came with a little sipping lid and I’ve been using it instead of all of my mugs for a couple of weeks now. I love that it keeps my tea and coffee warm and I can use it for cold and warm drinks all day. It’s also an aesthetically pleasing shape and shiny.

I like tea :-) My favourite at the moment is Yorkshire Biscuit Tea - it’s like breakfast tea with a hint of digestive biscuit..
I have 4 mugs at the moment, mostly to cope with the vagaries of when we use our dishwasher.

My focus this year is definitely on reduction - fewer clothes, less clutter etc… It’s slow going due to chronic health issues, but one step at a time!

i'm not a minimalist in terms of the philosophy or the awereness, but rather quantity of things makes me super anxious and triggered, that's why I get rid of ones I don't really need, and with each more step I realise not much is actually needed

Another tea drinker here. I'm sensing a trend ;) Mindful eating and decluttering.

2 Second Scan - when I go from one room to another, I scan the room for two seconds to remember to take stuff to where it needs to go. Also, 5 Second Clean - usually in the bathroom or kitchen, I take 5 seconds to wipe the counter/sink and/or mirror.

I love that you picked the best of the many, many ideas that span across all of the minimalist channels! You have a calming voice and great camera presence, too. I think the spontaneous combustion rule is the most impactful for me right now. I did a mental exercise just now and realized that a LOT of things in my house are things I just haven't wanted to make a decision about.

Instant follow. Storage bins = coffins for stuff. if It was all blown up what would I repurchase ??? mind blowing !!! I use 20% of my wardrobe, my kitchen, my garage hoard, all the favourites or read later on my iPad. Invest and have experiences. Thank you !!!

I love your channel! You are clear and concise - I can tell you have labored over your list. I've been a minimalist for years but am still a recovering materialist:-( it's been a gift to realize how distracting consumerism has been in my life...but it's a continuous process. Thanks for this video -- I will revisit and share.

This video speaks to me. No, you are the one doing the speaking, so thanks! I'm a minimalist who fails often when it comes to decluttering, but I don't get unnecessary stuff. I'll get better with the getting rid of stuff part too 😉

I have tea running through my blood not tea, I’m addicted. I have one mug that’s a favourite and a matching set of 6 for the rest of the family and when visitors come.

Great video. Decluttered yesterday and feel so much lighter.

I like tea, and I definitely have to drink more tea!
Maybe buying a beautiful tea pot will help me get more teatime...?

We got same bike!🥰 About rules...I'm born like minimalist. All books, videos, etc. didn't teach me anything new. 🤔
