Here's one thing I learned at the ripe old age of 65..Never put off tomorrow what you can do today! It's so true life changing!

The nightly reset is called "putting the house to bed" in our home! We can't go to bed until the house has been put to bed, makes it part of a normal bedtime routine instead of it feeling like a burden keeping us from our bedtime routine.

I cut back on social media back in 2018 and haven't gone back. The only social media format I have stayed with is YouTube, I'm only subscribed to channels that teach and inspire. That's why I watch this channel. You're never too old or too young to learn new things from others. I have also recently joined the Life Reset Challenge because even though I have cut out Social media considerably, I still struggle with finding time to reach and complete my goals. Thank you Gabe for this opportunity to learn how to reset. 🙌😀

That was an excellent video. Great presentation. First off… your presentation was minimalist, not cluttered, no wasted time, you got to the point, made the point, and moved on. All of your rules were useful, on target, reasonable, doable. I wish I could have watched it about 50 years ago.

We have a declutter rule in our house: whenever you go to the thrift store or we shop online, we must get rid of something. This keeps clutter in check by not adding to it.

This isn't new to me, but watching your videos (and rewatching) gets me back on track. And your rules aren't crazy strict, which makes doing things much more realistic and manageable.

Become unavailable is something that changes so much. It took some time for my people to accept it but after a couple of weeks it was normal that I respond in a few hours/days and no friendship or family relationship is damaged. You don't have to be available 24/7 and the right people in your life will respect it

Experience: We did that with our sons for Christmas once we landed in their late middle school/into high school ages. We traveled at Christmas time. They are now in their 20s, and we have great discussions about those trips, but I sincerely doubt we'd have happy, laugh filled talks about whatever toys or...stuff...we would have given them instead.

Glad I am not the only one who doesn’t need to upgrade stuff until said stuff breaks!!!

Friend sent me here . I struggle with anxiety which has become more of easily irritated. Plus I need to stop blowing money. I have already started in the areas of my house where I'm in alot. I have lots of rooms to pile stuff into that I need to work on. But just getting rid of cluttered decorations and spaces has made me feel so much better. I actually watched another video and she said don't decorate just to have decorations. Make it work and make sense. I think when you see too much or when I do it stresses me out . Now I'm gonna binge these videos

I like the idea of the box. I once read that the most important thing in a paperless office or household isn't document management software and such, it's the paper recycling bin. This is kind of a similar situation.

I’m doing a massive purge and downsizing. I’m going from a rented two bedroom townhome, to renting a single bedroom and house-sharing with a friend (2024 version of Golden Girls) 8 boxes of books went to thrift store (I kept 8 boxes I can’t live without 😆 hey it’s still progress), all the clothes I kept fit on a single clothing rack (no closet on my bedroom). My bed is a foldout Japanese futon mattress (no frame) on top of a tatami mat. I fold up my bed in the morning and my workout space is right there. Nice and simple, easy peasy. I’m moving on less than two weeks and my soon to be old house is chaos, but it won’t be for long.

I love your videos. I recently watched something on Swedish Death Cleaning. The concept that if you were going to die tomorrow, would you want your family to have to sort through it all. If you don't want them to have to deal with it then get rid of it. It has really helped me a lot!

Loved💜 " Sometimes you need a friend to slap you across the face" gently and lovingly. That was the best! I can so relate to that because I am usually that friend who will do that to others no matter what it is. Thanks for that. 💜

The great reset - no spend month edition got us our house deposit in 3yrs. We bought our house in 2022 ❤ were also practice upgradelessness, quality purchasing and experiences over stuff.

One i would add (unless i missed it, its a lot of content) is a goals check in with yourself and your other half! Really dig into it not just a single sentence so you know you (and they!) are working towards the same thing itll help you move there with less resistance.

You are so right about focusing on ONE thing, finish it, then move to next task. I have dozens of partially started projects. 😣
