I could not my tears when our president awarded those 11 brave American veterans France's highest military medal. Let me translate what he said to each of them : " Mr, on behalf of the French Republic, we recognize you as Knight of the Legion of Honor " . God bless America and France

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them

A generation like no other. Today, we can't even work out what gender we are.

America's a new nation built on the backs & hard labor of immigrants from all nations, which is what sets us apart. Nowhere in the world was this ever tried before & many in the old world were convince that our little democracy would be smothered in its infancy. 80 years ago those ties to the old world were still strong, many had family back there. We said nothing to make them go to defend their distant relative, their ancestral homelands.

Horrible French auto subtitles. Nothing works. I would of at least liked to have known what the French President Macron told all the WW2 service men at such an important commemorative ceremony for all free nations around the world, and almost certainly the last where an actual living soldier from WW2 shows up. They'll all be gone. Yep, sure would of been nice.

Beautiful ceremony. God bless those who died to protect freedom. God bless their families and give them strength. God bless President and Dr. Biden, France and the United States of America.

Are they not fighting for freedom in another part of the world right now? Some of your remarks are cold black and uncaring. Thank God on d day you weren't called to do what needed to be done🇺🇦🇺🇲❤️✌️

I think this is one of the most beautiful ceremonies to a very much tested generation and men at the twilight of their years. I do not think the Presidents speech was terrible, but he could have left current politics out of his tribute.

Unspeakable shame on the people who wrote this speech, and the man who gave it! This is an occasion to honor those heroes who risked, and gave their lives for a just cause. This was NOT the time to make politics. SHAME!
