Cranks are levers that connect the pedals to the bottom bracket spindle. The cranks are fitted with toothed sprockets called chainrings that drive the chain. Cranks may be removed to replace cranks or chainrings, service the bottom bracket bearings, or to clean the chainrings. Crank systems have become more complex in recent years. I been searching on all videos on youtube the usage of all the kinds of greases that sell. a friend had issues with his hub and I ended up taking on the challenge of fixing it. long story short his freehub had water inside and corrosion happened within the internal parts. so I purchased the replacement parts and now while putting things back, I dont know which grease or lubricant to use. I bought several - ASC-1, PPL1, SAC-2, HPG-1 - BUT I cant find videos that can point in the right direction on where to use these. wondering if you guys can make a video explaining the differences, the parts of the bike where to use them and so on. it will come in handy! thanks for your time.

Hi there, for the first time I tried and managed to remove and install crank arms following your instructions since I lost the threads on my Trek 4900 Shimano crank arm. So I took SR SunTour crank arms from an old Mongoose Comp Tyax and put them on my Trek 4900 hoping they would work since both of them seemed to be square tapered cranks. What happened is the more I tightened the SR SunTour cranks on my Trek, the tighter the crank arms pedaling became. Crank arms ended up completely stuck and pedaling became impossible. I did not change the bottom brackets as well, could that be the reason why this is happening? Would you be kind enough to give me advice how could I get the old Shimano crank re-threaded or what can I do to enable using these SR SunTour crank arms on my Trek? Thank you for your help.

Hey guys, when checking for wear on a bottom bracket using the 'spin-the-crank and feel for resonance through the frame' technique...is there a tolerance for how much you should be able to feel resonate? If you can feel it just a little, is that ok or no? Thanks for all your help.

you need to raise the insert or box of the types of cranks. Everytime I try to choose the 3 pc option the volume bar gets in the way. Then when I expand the window, , when I click on the play icon, nothing happens. going elsewhere
