You don't spend 2000 years arguing about a nameless carpenter born in a barn to average blue collar parents who became a rabbi with a moderate following for a few year and then was crucified amongst nameless rebels against the Roman Empire if he didn't really do or say something earth shattering.

Perhaps Alex doesn't know this, but this debate ended centuries ago. It won't add anything new to the arguments of the heretics, the Jews, and the Muslims. All those arguments have already been discredited, because the Word is clear:
Jesus is our Lord and our God.

Alex stretches correlation to make his point, David simply presents the texts that makes the point. Alex tells you what he "thinks", David shows you scriptures and asks you to "think".

I really appreciate that Alex O’Connor, as an atheist, chose to engage with a deep theological topic like whether Jesus claimed to be God. His main argument came down to the claim that the word latreuō, used for divine worship, is never applied to Jesus in the New Testament. I don’t think David Wood addressed this properly, and I was surprised he didn’t bring up a key point: latreuō is actually used in Daniel 7:14 in reference to the Son of Man receiving worship from all nations. Jesus explicitly claims to be that very Son of Man—a claim that, during His trial before the Sanhedrin, is what led to the charge of blasphemy. So while latreuō may not appear in the New Testament in direct reference to Jesus, He places Himself in the very prophecy where divine worship is given.
