Upgrade when your current one stops working. Plain and simple. Depending on how your up keep is, it may last 2 years or almost 10 years. Either way, it’s a great money saver, and let’s you stick with something you know for longer.

You feel the pain tomorrow not today.

Damn I felt that.

I've been using my 6S for over 6 years now. Think it's time to upgrade to the 14, looking forward to its release!

Paid off an iPhone X 256 gb in February just to turn around in April to resign a new lease for an iPhone 11 Pro Max 256 gb. Nothing was wrong with my iPhone X I’m someone who takes care of their phone, my point is I paid off a phone just to turn around a pay for another phone that did the same thing because I just had to have it because everyone around me was getting one. Honestly I liked my iPhone X better but believe me when I say I’m not upgrading until this phone completely falls all the way apart, I don’t care if I have the cash one day to buy one straight out I’m not upgrading again until my phone is on its last leg! Smh 🤦🏾‍♀️ learning to make better decisions! Great video

I used to think pretty much like you, but now I believe that sometimes buying something because you really want it is also a good reason to buy that product
I'm with you in that we should think more about what we NEED before taking a decision, but I really think that there's nothing wrong with buying something because you want it (as long as you have the money to spent)
PS: I love your videos, keep it up!

Exactly my thoughts, however, I just renewed my plan yesterday, and gave the phone to my Wife the S23 ultra just because I think that she really needs it for work and business, her previous phone was the Mate 20 Peo but it now started to go on auto restart. I’m still rockin with my iPhone 12 mini though. Thanks for this video Man!

I’ll wait for the iPhone 17 and see if I need to upgrade.

My paid off iPhone X is going strong and I have no plans to upgrade anytime soon.

Whenever I think about buying a new phone, or switching from my 12 to 13 mini or 13 pro (and im thinking about it a lot) Your video helps me to cool down and realise, that it won’t change anything except for my wallet being empty. So this method „think what scott would say” is very effective in my case. Thanks for that!

I’ve had my iPhone 7 for almost 4 years and I have never really felt like I need to upgrade it, but recently the “battery health/life” has dropped to 71%... and the battery drains from 100 to 70% in around 30 min of almost no use... I have been thinking of getting the iPhone 12 because If am going to upgrade I want to go for the newest...

Literally kept my 6s for as long as i could and upgraded to an 11 after 4 years because i’d have to charge the 6s like 4x a day and lug around my huge powerbank. So it was definitely a necessary upgrade.

I'm basically where devices go to die. I buy year (or more) old tech at deep discounts and use them till I can't repair them anymore or they become so slow that they hamper overall usability. I still use a monitor from 2005 today in 2020. It's still a very usable display that's still chugging along. The only issue I've had with it was having to replace a blown capacitor on the motherboard back in 2017, $3 part and a few hours of work to dismantle, figure out the problem and replace the capacitor. I hate the trend of disposable tech that everyone seems to adopt now.

Did you manage locate your balls, or are they still MIA? She hid them well huh. 👀🤣

I upgraded to iPhone 11 Pro from 8 plus in fall of 2019 and it seems to get better with each iOS update. Feels just as snappy as day one and the camera software feels like it’s improving. If this trend continues, the next time I need an upgrade I will stick with Apple because they do seem to care about the longevity of their devices. I’ll hold onto this phone as long as I can because I don’t think they’ll make this size again 😅
