Obviously she is doing something wrong. And she needs help to get it right.
Her biggest problem is that she won't admit things are bad for the kid. She wants to do it her way, but her way doesn't work. And it jerks her chain.
To change the behavior of an out of control child, you have to stop everything and start from scratch. But when the cause of the behavior is still there, the effect will be there as well.
It's not the kid that needs to be retrained, it's the parent.
